Job Summary: We are looking for a digital designer with an interest in digital healthcare to help brand and narrate our work. Projects on our team range from multi-site academic research studies and digital education groups at community mental health centers, to mobile app evaluation and consulting for public and private institutions. This role will provide design support for all projects and work with team members to brand, depict, and communicate the impact of our initiatives in digital mental health.

Primary Responsibilities:

Highlights the narrative and impact of our projects through on-brand graphics, imagery, and photography across a variety of channels including social media, web-design and print

Assists in evaluating and suggesting improvements to LAMP, the team's smartphone app

Learns relevant clinical research on design in mental health and uses findings to support our work

Communicates our lab's mission through consistent branding and messaging

Creates a digital project playbook

Independently or in conjunction with other clinical research staff works with clinical studies team to collect, organize, and help advance research studies

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required.

Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch) and marketing channels (social, web)

A minimum of 1 year in digital design, marketing, and / or branding; preferably experience in a professional setting

Interest in mental health. Familiarity with emerging technologies in medicine, as well as access to care, and/or healthcare delivery is a plus

A portfolio demonstrating design skills (layout, typography, communication)

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects

Exposure to design methodologies, such as design thinking

Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.


Written Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written English with internal and external customers.

Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.

Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.

Team Work: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.

Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Social/Environmental Requirements:

Work requires close attention to task for work to be accurately completed. Intermittent breaks during the work day do not compromise the work.

Work routine is fairly consistent, but employee needs to be able to use judgment to respond to events several times a week.

No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions

Physical Requirements:

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move throughout the hospital campus

This job requires constant sitting, walking, Power Grasping using both hands, Keyboard use, Endurance-working up to 5-6 hours without a break, frequent Reaching-above shoulder height. There may be occasional standing, Fine Manipulation using both hands.
